18 and pregnant?

So today I am going to write something that is a little unusual for me, And maybe it will help me pay a little less to my psychologist.

So I am 18 years old and a year ago I was supposed to go to the army, I was supposed to be a  criminal investigator, but right now I am doing something that is completely different.

So my boyfriend and I met when I got my draft order, and I was sure I know what I want to do for the next two years, but then well.. Our relationship was getting serious, And ,my lover Shay was still in the army.

So we were starting to talk about moving in with each other, and well.. I don't wanna live with his family.. I mean.. who  does want to live with her boyfriend's parents.

Well 6 months later, my parents threw a big dinner and my boyfriend's parents were invited, so that night Shay thought was the best time to turn me into his fiance.

Well I love Shay and I do want to spend the rest of my life with him.. But with everybody screaming after he proposed, I don't even remember saying yes.

So I guess you already know the story, I could not go to the army because I had to make money to save up for a house, and so did Shay.
So we live together in Shay's parent's house.. Its pretty nice, well nobody's ever home.. I kinda miss the screams in my house.
So just so you know, I use birth control pills so I'm not actually pregnant like it said on the title. But according to my grandmother, should I?
Well last night I was seeing a movie with my friend after we went to some bar, and Shay was staying the night in the base. So of course my grandmother was sitting by the window waiting for me to come back, She fell asleep on a chair next to the window and it was horrible to watch.
So I was saying "hey grandma, I'm back, you can sleep now".
And well she started asking me where Iv'e been, and we had a nice conversation.. but she just had to ruin it!
"Diana are you pregnant?" well it's not her business but whatever.. "No, I'm on birth control pills".
"you are ruining your womb". (she is a womb expert).
Well my grandma is not that cool but she just remembers ten percent of the things I tell her, so I asked "Should I use condoms?", "you need a child" (she probably read my to do list).
So', well I'm going to say now the thing that I wanted to say for the whole conversation (I didn't actually say that cause I did not want to give her a massive heart attack)
"GRANDMA WE DON'T FUCKING LIVE IN THE FUCKING 60S ANYMORE AND I WAS NOT FUCKING BORN TO BE A BABY MAKING MACHINE I WANT TO FUCKING GO TO COLLEGE AND MAKE A GOOD SALARY AND NOT LIVE IN MY FUCKING CHILD'S HOUSE AND SLEEP IN THE BATHROOM FOR THE WHOLE DAY WHEN PEOPLE FUCKING WANT TO GO TO SHIT, AND I WANT TO LIVE IN A NICE HOUSE AND BE A WOMAN WITH A CAREER NOT A WOMAN THAT MAKES FOOD ALL DAY.
Well I said, grandma.. let me raise myself first, we will talk about kids later."
"you need a child or else Shay will leave you", isn't that something really nice to say?
"So you are saying that if I won't get pregnant he will stop loving me?"
I just really want to understand where the shit she says is coming from.
"You don't know what is going to happen tomorrow, If you fight or not, if you have a child you won't"
"So grandma when people have children they don't fight anymore?", she did not know what to say "they fight less", "so they fight less and put their child in between?" I asked.
"Diana, You do not know what is like to have a child", I answered, "Actually grandma I do, When you have a child you need to start making calculations about what to save and where to spend, and you don't have much time cause you have to work, and the love kinda fades, and than you start learning new things, that you don't know how to face. And you start hating your life, you think this is not your place".
So my grandma did not say a word, And I understand because it doesn't really matter what she wants, and I will have a child, maybe even six, but that's when I will feel mature enough.
And I'm just impressed with myself because that could be an awful fight, but this is my life, and people opinions who don't live like me. They need to just stop.
